NUNUM - Blending Flash Fiction & Art

Interview with Tianyi Zhang

Tianyi Zhang gave NUNUM

some Zelffie magic for the Fall 2019 issue and once we blended it up with Amanda Conner's story 'The Time Has Come', well we had another Pushcart nomination on our hands.
Lately we were lucky enough to get in a few questions for our newest favourite artist and as usual we learned so much more than expected.

Tianyi thank you for your

time and of course for letting NUNUM use some of your amazing Zelffie works. We ask everyone this question but the answers still always amaze me so here we go again, what was the first book you remember picking and reading by yourself?

The 'Happy Prince' by Oscar Wilde.

I've read some of his other works but that wasn't one of them, thank you for that, one more for the have to read list. Let's jump forward a whole bunch with this next one though and get contemporary.

What was the last book you read that made you say damn that was a good book?

The Fall of Public Man by Richard Sennett

Finally, one I have read. First time that has happened but I promise the question isn't going anywhere.

Pen, pencil or phone which one do you reach for when you need to write something down?

Phone.

What advice would you give someone who is just starting to send their work out to journals?
