The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. Game changer.

Is there a writer who has influenced your current writing style?

Too many to name.

Why write flash fiction?

It's like a delicious, intense interaction with a fascinating stranger—writing it or reading it.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting to send their work out to journals?

It is completely normal to have a panic attack after hitting the submit button.

What is your favorite short story of all time?

They're Made of Meat by Terry Bisson.

If you could time travel to meet any author, who would it be?

Voltaire.

What story or novel from the present would you give them as a gift?

Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice (I think he'd dig it, since he wrote an essay about vampires in Europe, but I'd probably spend a lot of time explaining that it was a work of fiction)
