Recently we were lucky enough to steal a little of Mantrana's time and yes you know what asked her to get things going.

Mantrana it has become a bit of a habit for me but I love knowing the first book people remember reading, do you by chance remember what book it was for you?

Oh wow! I have no clue at all. It probably was 365 stories and poems for girls but more recently it was this book entitled "The Ramayan Vs. The Mahabharat" by Devdutt Pattnaik.​

The main subjects for my artwork are people who are in a state of flux. The figures in my paintings, captured in moments of uncertainty and isolation, are close in proximity but emotionally distant. They are positioned in liminal natural environments—the sun is setting or storms are approaching—with no clear entrance or exit pathway.

Christopher Paul Brown is known for his exploration of the unconscious and the serendipitous. This year his work has appeared in twelve periodicals  and one hardcover book. His first photography sale was to the Standard Oil Company of Indiana and his video You Define Single File was nominated for the Golden Gate Award at the 47th San Francisco International Film Festival. He earned a BA in Film from Columbia College Chicago in 1980.
