​Erica Gonsalves’s story ‘The Stranger’ is a brief  detailed flash into the life of a man with choices to make and is a perfect example of how good flash fiction works. Erica Gonsalves recently completed her M.A. in Writing at National University of Ireland, Galway. Beyond her inclusion in NUNUM’s Spring 2018 issue, her fiction can be seen in The Galway Review and The Bohemyth. Erica currently teaches high school English in Connecticut.
